- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions

- Pat the entire chicken dry, inside and out, using paper towels.
- Mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary in a small bowl.
- Rub the olive oil all over the exterior of the chicken.
- Sprinkle the seasoning rub generously over the chicken, coating the back and legs well.
- Place the seasoned chicken breast-side up in your air fryer basket.
- Set your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) and cook for 40 minutes.
- Flip the chicken over using tongs after 40 minutes.
- Increase the temperature to 380°F (195°C) and cook for another 15 to 25 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
Pat the chicken very dry for the best crisp skin. Use a meat thermometer to check the thigh, not just the breast.
