Description

A quick and comforting dish featuring chicken in a rich butter and cream sauce combined with fresh herbs and garlic.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts (or bone-in pieces)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (or vegan butter)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut milk)
  • 34 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Place the chicken in the skillet, cooking until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked through, reduce the heat to low.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream (or coconut milk), lemon juice, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
  6. Add the chopped parsley and dill, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and spices for a couple of hours before cooking. Add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for added nutrition. If the sauce is too thick, thin it out with chicken broth or water.
