Description
A quick and easy recipe for perfectly cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, delivering juicy, tender meat with minimal effort in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6–8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Remove the chicken breasts from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 10 minutes. Pat each chicken breast completely dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Mix well.
- Drizzle the olive oil over both sides of each chicken breast, then generously season with the spice mixture.
- Heat your large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot skillet. Sear for 6-7 minutes without moving the chicken.
- Flip the chicken breasts using tongs and cook for another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- In the final 2 minutes of cooking, add the butter and minced garlic to the pan, basting the chicken with the melted mixture.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving, drizzled with lemon juice and parsley.
Notes
Make sure the chicken reaches 165°F for safety. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
