- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup butter, melted

- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 sleeves (about 60 crackers) Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for topping)
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (additional, for topping)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (for topping)
- 1 cup frozen peas (thawed, optional)
- 1/2 cup diced celery (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- If not already cooked, prepare chicken by seasoning and baking or using rotisserie chicken.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, and melted butter.
- Mix in poppy seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Fold shredded chicken into the creamy mixture, adding optional peas or celery if desired.
- Transfer the chicken mixture to the baking dish, smoothing the surface.
- Combine crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter, additional poppy seeds, and garlic powder, mixing until coated.
- Spread the cracker mixture over the chicken base and cover with foil; bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnishing with fresh chives if desired.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for convenience. Don’t skip the resting time for better serving quality.
