Description
Delicious Greek chicken burgers infused with feta, lemon, and herbs, topped with fresh tzatziki sauce.

- 1 lb Ground Chicken (93% lean for best results)
- 1/2 cup Feta Cheese (can substitute with goat cheese or omit for dairy-free)
- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (or dill)
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano (fresh works if available)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1 large Egg (for binding)
- 1 cup Tzatziki Sauce (fresh or store-bought)
- 2 cups Fresh Vegetables (lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers)
- 4 pieces Buns or Pita (whole grain or gluten-free)
Instructions
- Put ground chicken in a bowl.
- Add chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Crumble in the feta cheese.
- Add breadcrumbs and the egg. Mix gently until just combined, do not overwork the meat.
- Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 3/4 inch thick, making a small dip in the center of each patty.
- Cook using your preferred method: pan-fry, grill, or bake.
- Let patties rest for 3 minutes after cooking.
- Lightly toast buns or pita, spread tzatziki on top and bottom, add the patty, and top with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber.
- Serve warm with extra tzatziki and lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
For added freshness, serve with a simple salad or roasted potatoes. Freeze cooked patties for up to 3 months.
