Description

Delicious and simple Italian breaded chicken cutlets, featuring crispy breading with Parmesan and fresh basil.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  3. Dredge each chicken cutlet in the flour, dip it into the eggs, and then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the breaded chicken cutlets for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  6. For the sauce, mix chopped basil and Parmesan cheese in a bowl.
  7. Serve the chicken cutlets topped with the basil and Parmesan sauce.

Notes

For a healthier version, bake the cutlets instead of frying them.
