- 2 medium chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1/3 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and olive oil. Stir until well blended.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil if needed.
- Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and pour the honey garlic sauce over it. Cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Drizzle with any remaining sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
Marinating the chicken in the sauce for a few hours enhances the flavor. Use fresh garlic for the best taste.
