Description

A delightful dish that combines the sweetness of honey with the savory taste of garlic, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil until combined.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in the prepared baking dish and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing, and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve over rice or alongside vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for a few hours before baking. You can also grill the chicken instead of baking it for a smoky flavor.
