Crispy and tasty ground turkey nuggets that are a lighter alternative to fried chicken nuggets, perfect for kids and adults alike.

- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
- 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1 1/2 cups gluten-free bread crumbs, divided
- 2 large eggs, whisked
Instructions
- Blend the ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine ground turkey, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Prepare the egg and breadcrumb coating: In one shallow bowl, add the whisked eggs. In another shallow bowl, mix remaining bread crumbs with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Coat the nuggets: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the turkey mixture, coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, then in the egg wash, and finally back into the breadcrumbs. Shape into nuggets and place on the air fryer tray.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Spray nuggets with nonstick cooking spray and bake for 8 minutes. Flip the nuggets, spray again with cooking spray, and bake for an additional 7-8 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Notes
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in an air fryer.
