- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture and place them in a baking dish.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from the oven, spoon marinara sauce over each piece, and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Pound chicken to an even thickness for even cooking. Use panko for extra crunch. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking to keep juices inside.
