Description

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chilli peppers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the oil and sauté until garlic is golden brown.
  4. Drain the pasta, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  5. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with garlic and oil, tossing to coat.
  6. If needed, add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and mix in chopped parsley.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a milder version, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes.
