Description

A flavorful marinade for chicken that makes it juicy and delicious, perfect for family meals or barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g boneless chicken breast
  • ½ Tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ Tablespoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 2 Tablespoons Lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, brown sugar, chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in a shallow dish or a zip lock bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix to coat. Cover with clingfilm and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the fridge.
  3. Cook the chicken by baking, grilling, air frying, or pan-frying until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For more heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Chicken thighs can be used for juicier meat.
