- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions, if desired.
Notes
Trim extra fat from the chicken for a leaner dish. Adjust salt in the sauce to taste. For a thicker sauce, consider adding cornstarch mixed with water.
