Description

A simple slow-cooked dish featuring sweet and savory honey garlic sauce that appeals to both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic mixture over them.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  4. Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the sauce.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

Trim extra fat from the chicken for a leaner dish. Adjust salt in the sauce to taste. For a thicker sauce, consider adding cornstarch mixed with water.
