Description

Perfectly crispy chicken wings coated in a rich, savory garlic parmesan sauce, great for game days and family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Extra grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels and let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a wire rack on top of a large baking sheet.
  4. Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer.
  5. Bake the wings for 25 minutes without flipping.
  6. While baking, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper into the melted garlic butter.
  8. After 25 minutes, carefully flip each wing and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove wings from the oven and toss them in the garlic parmesan sauce.
  10. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For air-fryer method: Preheat to 380°F (193°C) and cook for 12 minutes, flip, then cook for an additional 10-12 minutes.
