- 1 cup cornstarch

- 12 slider buns, split and toasted
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 12 pickle slices
- 2 cups coleslaw mix
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 cups vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: Combine buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl, add chicken pieces, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Breading Station: Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, cayenne, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
- Make the Slider Sauce: Whisk mayo, honey, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth.
- Prepare the Quick Coleslaw: Combine coleslaw mix with apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large pot.
- Bread the Chicken: Remove chicken from marinade and dredge in the flour mixture.
- Fry the Chicken: Fry breaded chicken pieces for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Toast the Slider Buns: Lightly toast slider buns in a skillet or under the broiler.
- Assemble the Sliders: Spread sauce on buns, add fried chicken, coleslaw, and pickle slices, then top with the other half of the bun.
Notes
For extra crispy coating, mix a tablespoon of buttermilk marinade with the flour mixture. Can be transformed into nugget sliders for kids or buffalo chicken sliders.
