Description

A delightful dish featuring crunchy breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey cheese, perfect for cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
  • Pasta or side salad (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Top each piece with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
