- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken on both sides with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden. Remove from the pan.
- Lower the heat and add butter. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape the pan to lift browned bits. Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
- Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and grated parmesan until the sauce is smooth and thick.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for a better, smoother sauce. Simmer gently to avoid a grainy texture.
