Description

A quick and tasty meal featuring tender chicken in a rich creamy lemon parmesan sauce, all cooked in one pan.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden. Remove from the pan.
  3. Lower the heat and add butter. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape the pan to lift browned bits. Add heavy cream and simmer gently.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and grated parmesan until the sauce is smooth and thick.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for a better, smoother sauce. Simmer gently to avoid a grainy texture.
