Description

This dish features juicy chicken thighs coated in a rich, creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for dinner at home or impressing guests.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Add the heavy cream, thyme, and oregano. Stir everything well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens a bit.
  7. Return the cooked chicken thighs to the skillet and coat them in the creamy sauce. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative. You can add veggies like spinach or mushrooms for added flavor.
