- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the baking dish.
- Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
- Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top.
- Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over the top of the sliders.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm with extra marinara on the side.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken to save time. Warm the marinara slightly to make spreading easier. Watch the last minutes of baking to avoid burning.
