Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs or drumsticks
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs or drumsticks to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for deeper flavor).
- Place the marinated chicken in a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish.
- Serve warm and enjoy your Hawaiian-inspired dish!
Notes
Pat the chicken dry before baking for better browning. Use a meat thermometer; chicken is done at 165°F (74°C). Save extra marinade, boil it, and brush on chicken while baking for more glaze.
