Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, black pepper, and olive oil.
  4. Add the drumsticks to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated drumsticks on a lined baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight and know that skinless chicken can also be used. Check internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
