Description

A delicious and healthier twist on an Italian classic, Baked Chicken Parmesan is simple to prepare and perfect for any family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  4. Place the coated chicken in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over the chicken.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve hot with pasta or a salad.
