- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot with pasta or a salad.
