Description
Enjoy these zesty, low-fat chicken bites made fast in the air fryer with a bright lemon taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)
- lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Add chicken to the bowl and toss until all pieces are coated. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to soak up the flavor.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes if your model needs preheating.
- Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not crowd; cook in batches if needed.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket or turning pieces halfway through until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and is golden.
- Remove chicken and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For a crispier texture, pat chicken dry, do not overcrowd the basket, and consider a light sprinkle of panko.
